Deworming

Spay/Neuter
Microchip for all kittens adopted after June 2026

What Is NOT Included with The Adoption?

FIV/FELV Testing

Why We Do NOT Test For FIV/FELV

At our rescue, we do not routinely test kittens under 6 months of age for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).

Kittens under 6 months old can have a higher rate of inaccurate results, including false positives. Maternal antibodies passed from the mother can sometimes interfere with test results, making a positive test unreliable and potentially causing unnecessary concern or affecting adoption decisions.

Because of this, we do not feel routine testing in young kittens provides meaningful or definitive information in most cases.

If you have selected a kitten for adoption prior to their spay/neuter appointment and would like FIV/FeLV testing performed at that time, we are happy to accommodate this request. Testing can be added for an additional $50, which covers the cost of the test performed during their scheduled surgical visit.
